Free HIV testing available at participating Walgreens in 130 cities nationwide, June 27 and 28
June 27: National HIV Testing Day (NHTD) was first observed on June 27, 1995. The 2017 federal theme is “Test Your Way. Do It Today”.
Walgreens and Greater Than AIDS, are teaming up for the seventh straight year with health departments and local AIDS service organizations (ASOs) to offer free HIV testing and counseling about prevention strategies, including PrEP (Pre-exposure Prophylaxis), as part of a National HIV Testing Day effort.
Stop by your local Bay Area Walgreens, for a FREE HIV Test, linkage information, including information on PrEP.
Alere North America, bioLytical Laboratories and OraSure have donated test kits for the Walgreens locations. Local organizations heading up testing this year include:
- AIDS Project of the East Bay (APEB)
- Asian Health Services
- San Francisco AIDS Foundation / STRUT
- UCSF – Alliance Health Project
Tell your friends and loved ones! Testing still saves lives, and you can be the missing link to helping someone walk through the door!
Join in the #HIVTestingDay NHTD Thunderclap and help send the theme for this year’s testing day, Test Your Way. Do It Today., to millions across the nation and the globe.
